Anticipation was brewing over the past seven months as the modern Senior Phase school building was finished in time for the school’s successful Open Day on 6 September. The completion of this building marks the final step in the whole school offering of quality independent education from 6 months to Grade 12.
“The property is stunning, the buildings and facilities amazing and there is opportunity wherever you look,” explained Mr Brad Cooper newly appointed Headmaster of Waterfall Preparatory. “We can choose to start new traditions, examine the systems and structures and implement something new as opposed to attempt to change the old. We aim to offer an inspiring, stress-free environment for children of the Upper Highway area.”
The completion of this second building signifies the tremendous work and vision of the teams from Waterfall Schools and Focus on iThemba. As a significant moment in the completion of the school, Mr Danie van den Heever, CEO and Founder of Focus on iThemba, handed the keys of the new school building to Brad.
The Senior Phase building mirrors the existing Preparatory School building, which opened in January 2017 and welcomed Grade R to Grade 3 pupils. The new section houses two large classrooms per grade for the Grade 4 to Grade 7 pupils from 2018.
“I enjoy leading people to discover their strengths and appreciate who they are, to find the treasure stored inside,” said Brad. “The campus development is exciting in its own right and our community can be proud of another school that will provide quality education in the Upper Highway area,” concluded Brad.
