Our Faith

Waterfall College is founded on Christian values and ethics. Students and staff embrace the belief in God the father and His son Jesus Christ, who set an example for us all to follow. Teachers model Christian values such as tolerance, kindness and respect, and weekly assemblies include a Bible reading and prayer. The Student Christian Association (SCA) gives students the opportunity to share and explore their faith, while the ‘Moms Who Pray’ play a significant role in the life of the school, as they meet weekly to pray for the needs of our community.

There is a range of academic choices available to students as they enter the FET phase (Grade 10-12) and begin to focus on their areas of specialisation.

Technology

Technology is used to facilitate learning at Waterfall College.

Classrooms are fitted with data projectors and students use Chromebooks to access the wide range of tools provided by the Google Classroom suite of apps. This enables us to continue an uninterrupted schedule when we are unable to meet on campus.

College – Sport

Encouraging a healthy lifestyle and a culture of team spirit

Current school sporting activities include:

Culture

Waterfall College encourages participation in extra-mural cultural activities

Cultural activities include Toastmasters, Rotary Team Talk and Musical Theatre Club. The Drama Department has added subject-specific expertise to this growth, with a popular annual drama production.

There are a variety of excursions throughout the year aimed at enriching the lives of students by providing cultural experiences. These include dramatic performances, guest speakers and life skills development.

HOPE Outreach

HOPE (Helping Other People Everywhere) is the outreach programme at Waterfall College. Although small, every project makes an impact.

In 2019, over 80% of our students took part in these activities, cultivating an awareness of those in need and a connection to our local community, all while reinforcing the idea that each student is a valuable member of our school family and capable of making a difference.

HOPE activities support:
